HELLO, welcome back to our blog. So this week we were tasked to do a literature review. So u may be asking what is a literature review? that information is down below so scroll down!!


WHAT IS LITERATURE REVIEW?💭

It is a review of different sources from peer-reviewed journals, ebooks, internet search engines etc.


WHY DO WE NEED A LITERATURE REVIEW?👀❔

It examines the sources relevant to your research area and also provides a critical evaluation as well as as a summary of them. It also critically analyses the information gathered by identifying gaps in current knowledge:

- by showing limitations of theories and points of view and;

- by formulating areas for further research and reviewing areas of controversy.


MAIN REASONS👇:

1. Accessing the current state of research on a topic.

2. Identifying the experts on a particular topic.

3. Identify the key questions about a topic that need further research.

4. helps stay clear of inadvertent plagiarism.


ATTRIBUTES OF A GOOD LITERATURE REVIEW😋👍

1. Source must be relevant and reliable.

2. Lay a strong foundation for the research topic.

3. Narrow enough to eliminate insignificant information.

4. Wide enough to cover enough information required on the topic.

5. Strike a balance between sources supporting and opposing a particular aspect or argument.

HELLO 👋  WELCOME back to our blog! ! So this week we were introduced to a new software called, "Fusion 360" . This software will help us to draw and design the different components so that we can visualize better. These drawings can actually be printed out using a 3D printer if needed😲. WEEK 5 PRACTICAL 2

HELLO👋! welcome back to our blog. This week we got to do practical 2 at the comfort of our homes due to the tighter restrictions in phase 2 in Singapore. Don't worry we had taken videos and photos so that you can be on this journey with us as well😁. PRACTICAL 2 This practical is about using an airlift pump to pump water from a 5L jug to another container. We used different measurements as identified in our lab manual to see which measurement would pump the same amount of water in a shorter amount of time. We used flowrates to determine which measurement is FASTEST💨 . Higher the flowrate, the faster it takes to pump water from the jug to the other container.
